NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA INTENT TO CONSIDER THE ADOPTION OF COUNTY ORDINANCE 2014-039 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of County Commissioners of Sarasota County, Florida, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, at the Sarasota County Administration Building, Commission Chambers, 1660 Ringling Boulevard, Sarasota, Florida, to consider and act upon the adoption of the following proposed County Ordinance: AN ORDINANCE OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 87-134, AS AMENDED, AS CODIFIED IN CHAPTER 114, ARTICLE III OF THE SARASOTA COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO THE TOURIST DEVELOPMENT TAX LEVIED PURSUANT TO SECTION 125.0104, FLORIDA STATUTES; AMEND ING SECTION 114-64(l) OF THE CODE RELATING TO THE DISBURSEMENT OF TOURIST DEVELOPMENT TAX REVENUES TO THE TOWN OF LONGBOAT KEY; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. All interested parties are invited to appear and be heard in accordance with rules adopted by the Board. A complete draft of the proposed Ordinance is on file and available for public inspection in the office of the Clerk to the Board of County Commissio ners, 1660 Ringling Blvd., Sarasota, Florida during normal business hours or can be downloaded at http://www.scgov.net/communications/pages/MeetingsonDemand.aspx. The internet version will be available no earlier than the Thursday preceding the public he aring. Written comments filed with the Board of County Commissioners will be considered. The public hearing may be continued from time to time as announced at the hearing, or as may be found necessary. This notice is published pursuant to Section 125.66, Florida Statutes, as amended. The following time limits for speaker presentations are in effect, pursuant to County Resolution No. 91-22; 20 minutes for petitioner presentation; 5 minutes for citizen comments per speaker.
